Trinity Gay, the daughter of Olympic sprinter Tyson Gay, died early Sunday morning after being shot at a restaurant in Kentucky.
She was 15.
According to a police report obtained by WKYT.com, Gay was shot in the neck after two cars exchanged gunfire outside of a Lexington Cook Out location. She died at the hospital as a result of her injuries.

Former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson offered his condolences:

Police have two people of interest in custody. Their identities have not been revealed at this time, and they have not been charged with a crime. They have been detained because they were in a Dodge Charger that matched the description of a vehicle involved.
Police are still looking for the driver of a “dark-colored sports car” that was involved in the shooting.
Trinity Gay was following in her father’s footsteps, starring on the track team at Lafayette High School.
Tyson Gay attended Lafayette before becoming a three-time Olympian and world champion on multiple occasions. He ran the third leg of the 4×100 relay team at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
